Pro Engineer/Projects

Apparently I should take notes...

Do you THINK I can work Pro Engineer now I'm home?

that would be NO!

I keep messing everything up.

I'm becoming increasingly frustrated. I don't want to do no art work over the summer but I'm stuck for things of themes to do. I want to do drawing and painting stuff to try to improve that but I'm not sure where to start!

Fringe

Just because I mentioned it in my last post - one of my favourite times of year is nearly coming up!

The Edinburgh Fringe!

I've always loved the atmosphere, being squashed on the Mile and watching performers, the cavalcade and going to Fringe Sunday with my dad...but only recently have I been getting into shows.

Last year we saw XFiles Improv and Potted Potter which were very very good.

I've been to see Jimmy Carr every year since...6th year. Yes, I am a bit sad but I think he's lovely! And I'm goin again this year! So excited! The first year the fire alarm went off and we got evacuated so he came out afterwards and whilst I saw him, I didn't get to meet him. I did the year after though! He'd made some father-daughter jokes and I was there with my dad :P But he was lovely - he complimented my jewellery which we all know is the way to my heart.

So yup - looking forward to that!

I've also got tickets to a couple of gigs on the Edge Festival -

Amanda Palmer - who I LOVE! I did my college album cover project on the Dresden Dolls.

Malcolm Middleton

and Mumford & Sons which I started listening to because of a friend and really like so I thought I'd go see them!
On my own! If you happen to be going then please let me know and talk to me!

There's a couple of authors I want to see at the Book Festival - Neil Gaimen, Margaret Atwood and James Kelman specifically. I just finished a few books by the latter two and would love to see them speaking and Neil's an on going love of mine.

Anyone who reads this going to or want to see anything?!

Lady Luck Rules!

I've not really done this before but I have to make a post to tell you how much I love Lady Luck Rules OK!

I discovered this jewellery site a year or so ago, wait no, two years? I was still in 6th year!

I have lots of stuff from them, including cute Bambi, Raygun, Robots and Rocket necklaces.

For Christmas I got a paint pallette necklace with my name on it, a paint pot with "art bitch" written on it and a knitted name necklace.

I also have some amazing heart earrings and a cute heart necklace which came as free gifts! I don't know if they still do that but they did for a while. It's such a nice gesture to get a little extra in your packages, even if it's cheap or silly.

Last weekend I ordered a lucky dip thanks to 30% off on Twitter! They're usually £10 but mine was £7 plus £2 shipping. In it I got a mini camera necklace and a black cloud necklace, both of which I've been lusting over. A pair of black heart earrings which are smaller than the ones I have and a matching silver disc earring and necklace set with tiger head cutout - not my first choice but kind of cute!

Their shipping is really good too - it's just over £2 I think for First Class Recorded. I've never had problems with delivery; the items are usually shipping out the day after you order and arrive the next day! You have to sign for them so you know it's secure.

Last week I came home from the Oasis concert and was feeling a bit...meh. Lo and behold, on Twitter the girls from LLROK had announced they had Summer Swag Bags with about £100 of goodies for £25!

Hey, I was in a bad mood.

It came today!
I'd hoped it would come in the morning before I headed into RHS but it didn't. When I got in, I was dreading the red notice saying to pick it up from the sorting office. And there was one. But the nice postman had signed for it himself and hidden it in our recycling bin!

I got changed and headed to the back garden to sit in the sun and check out my goodies.

The top necklace is my favourite! It's a large bandit mask - it would actually fit my face! I was thinking about ordering one of these but thankfully I got one!
Just below it is the rocket necklace, which I do have already but mine doesn't have a star!
The heart necklace is cute too, I remember these from the website a while ago.
Now you might be thinking that horse head is hideous - but no! It's amazing. I love horses and unicorns and have lots of necklaces and earrings with them on. I even have a dress with horse print. I got two new bags yesterday so this'll look lovely on them.
The jazzy tiger in the tree brooch is lovely (and slightly tacky) too! I can't wait to wear it.
The white cloud is the same as the black one I got in my lucky bag - and much nicer for this sunnier weather we're having.
The little musical brooch in the corner might have to be worn to the gigs I'm going to this summer and the owl necklace is perfect for me too - I love birds! My tattoo is going to be a bird!

Oh I got a little pink ice lolly shaped coin purse and one necklace I'm a bit dubious about. It's a heavy ballchain with a 3D pirate skull and a diamante skeleton. I'm sure there's a pirate event I can rock it too at some point!

So in short - Lady Luck DOES rule! There's always something on the site that I love.
